Crewe & District Branch

Crewe & District Branch

The North West Council has now wound up as a Group.
The Crewe & District Branch will continue and will have direct contact with the National level of the B.T.P.F.

The Crewe Branch has members located throughout the UK and we are happy to welcome visitors from other Branches to our meetings which take place on the first Tuesdays of April, August and November commencing at 1300. Meetings are held in the YMCA Centre, Gresty Road, Crewe (former Railway Hostel), which has recently undergone a substantial refurbishment.

However due to the restrictions arising from Covid19, we expect that the meeting scheduled for 4th August 2020, will be cancelled with the next meeting taking place on Tuesday 3rd November 2020. This meeting will form both the usual Four Monthly meeting and the AGM for 2020. As a result, there are likely to be a number of critical issues to be discussed and your attendance, and input, could be critical.

We endeavour to obtain the services of a Guest Speaker for each meeting who is invited to speak on a range of subjects which we feel will be of interest to all of the membership. The speaker at our meeting on 2nd April, will be Elizabeth Morris, a local historian, who will speak on the real life experiences of a Lizzie, former resident of the Northwich Union Workhouse at the end of the 19th Century.
