I’ve received the sad news that our Vice President and former National Chairman, John Harrison, is now receiving ‘End Of Life’ care, after having bravely battled cancer for three years.

When John was diagnosed with cancer, he was given only six months to live. At first he had decided not to receive treatment, but was persuaded by his family to change his mind, which has resulted in him being able to spend many more happy months with his wife and family.

I know that you will want to join me in hoping that John’s final days or weeks are as comfortable and pain free as possible and that his wife and family are given the fullest support in dealing with what is going to be a very sad and difficult period.
